SANS annual membership dues are $225 and include the cost of each singer's music.
Membership dues must be paid after three rehearsals. Under special circumstances, an alternate payment arrangement may be made with the Treasurer.
SANS Treasurer Tom Taylor collects the dues which help to defray rehearsal and concert costs, rehearsal recordings, music, mailings, and administrative expenses.
Sharing A New Song is a non-profit organization. Individual chorus members are responsible for trip costs. SANS raises scholarship money throughout the year, with the intention of awarding partial trip scholarships to chorus members in need of financial assistance.
Being a Member of SANS
Because we are an all-volunteer chorus, we need and encourage full participation by SANS members. Assistance with weekly tasks—arranging chairs, managing name tags, distributing new music; these are some of the tasks to be shared, and an excellent way to get to know other chorus members. Participation is also strongly encouraged in SANS fundraising efforts and on subcommittees, including those dealing with concert arrangements, publicity, rehearsal hospitality, outreach, cultural education for the upcoming tour, and planning for future trips. Please see our volunteer information sheet and speak with any staff or board member, if you are interested in helping for an hour or two (or more!).
